The Enfield Dek and Roller Hockey Park held one of the best ever Roller and Dek
Tournaments the State of CT. has ever seen on the weekend of December 1st and 2nd,
noted by the players from all over the New England States.
" it is all about how the rink owner and Directors present themselves to the
players and the passion they display, that makes the tournament. This was a great
one."
The above quote from a player, whom wished to have his name withheld in fear of
losing his job at a competitor roller rink, since they have already fired 1 staff
member for playing in Enfield.
" The amount of money that went into the awards was well spent. They were more
than just a lousy t-shirt" noted Jim Pezzulo. I liked the player of the game and
All Tournament team t-shirt. That was something you never see at other places.
With a State record, for a Tournament held by a private rink owner, of 16 teams,
the Stanley Cup of Dek and Roller Tournament began Friday Night with the youth
Division followed by the Ball and Puck divisions on Saturday, and the Dekhockey
Division on Sunday. Tournament Director Mike McNeil did a great job in this
Tournament. This Tournament at the Enfield Dekhockey Park consisted of Player of
the Game awards, MVP, MVG and Individual engraved wall mounted plaques for each
player on the winning teams. Also handed out was a specially made t-shirt for all
the players selected to the ALL TOURNAMENT TEAM. |
