THANK
YOU FOR PLAYING AT OUR RINK - GIVING BACK TO THE PLAYERS -
CHAMPIONSHIP POINT SYSTEM
POINT SYSTEM FOR TEAMS THAT PLAY 3 OUT
OF 4 SEASONS
Below is our point
system that we will use over the next year, as a way of
saying Thank you for playing on a regular basis at our
facility. The point system, if used last year was played out
and the top 4 teams would have played a 3 game playoff, 2
semi finals and a final to determine the State and New
England Roller Ball
Champion. There will be
no cost involved for the 4 teams making the end of the year
playoff. The playoff will be in September. The winning team
will receive a Championship Cup and
either, a set of Jackets,
cash $1000.00, or a set of new Team
Jersey
’s. The
sample Jacket and
Jerseys
will be in the office. Teams must play in 3 of 4 seasons to
qualify for the point system playoff. We are looking for a
sponsor name to call the point system. Please feel free to
help us name this series.
Point
system – awarding of points
1st
way - A team is awarded points for the place they finished
the regular season,
based on how many teams were in the league at the
time.
2nd
way - Your team gets 3 points for a playoff win.
2 points for a playoff loss
3rd
way - 10
points for being League Champion
5 points for being League Runner-up
Note:
You do not receive points for both, if you win the
Championship you only get the 10 points, you do not get the
3 points for a playoff win.
In the summer all points are doubled.
If we
did this system this year this is what the teams would have
looked like.
